I create a neutral grey background to start. I fill in the area I will be painting and create a group mask of the area I will be painting in. Then I make some color swatches on a layer of it's own to pick from and this will change as I go along.
Now the fun begins and I love the group mask.
I like keeping hair, skin and seperate pieces of clothing on it's own layer so that color changes can be made easily to each seperately.
Each color is on it's own layer.
I've been playing around on Upwork to drum up some new freelance work and the first gig I get was to draw 4 professionals in a comic book style.
The software I used was photoshop and my affordable Huion drawing tablet that I am very happy with.
